1 mom, 1 dad, and 2 beautiful boys. The story of our life as a family and the day to day trials of keeping our youngest son safe with multiple food allergies.
I just love all his expressions! lol He did really well answering your questions and I love that last line about wishing he could put his allergies on God's shoulders and He could break it. Priceless! xoxo
Oh my gosh, his sweet face just about broke my heart!! Especially when he said he wants to take allergies away and put it on God to break them. What a great kid -- such a doll! And to hear from a child about their own experience is really enlightening. I don't know how you can have a hard heart after seeing something like this. Love it. :)
Sweet and sad at the same time. I wish, too, the allergies could just be taken away. But God has allowed them for some reason, and whatever He allows He uses for His glory and our good and development.
It's good that he is articulate and that he'd got down pat what the situation is and what he needs to do if he encounters problems. So precious that he knows he can look to God for help.
That last part about God taking it away made me tear up. Me, too! I want that, too.
I love the video. I interviewed my son last night, as well (not on video, though). I'm going to share that on my blog tomorrow. Interesting to me that your son said he would not panic- my 7 year old said the opposite. We spent quite a bit of time going over his meds.
I like educating others but I find focusing on this with my child is fantastic. It starts a conversation that's different from the day-to-day dealings with his food allergies.
awwww! Little man is so cute! My heart just breaks for him, coz' I totally feel his pain. Btw, you inspired me to start my own blog, thank you! I know its kind of cliche, but I really felt I needed to, so I just did.

Love his explanations and that he can effectively communicate for himself. Very important!
Love the God's shoulders thing.
