I remember making papier mache eggs at an easter play scheme and painting them when I was a kid. It was quite fiddly as you had to make the whole egg on a mould, let it dry, an adult had to cut it with a knife, then you had to papier mache the two parts together, then cover the newspaper egg with thin white paper and then you could paint it. Probably a good way of keeping a few dozen kids occupied for a few hours...
Great TT! Those alteratives sound fun, even for those of us who aren't allergic :)

Aww, man. You don't think about food allergies affecting so much of life until you're faced with it, huh?
The alternatives sound really awesome, though. Maybe even better than the mess of dyeing eggs? (I've never done it, so I don't know)
What fun Easter activities, much more fun that sticking eggs in dye!
Thank you for your prayers!

in Japan, they make something called washi eggs...google it, they're COOL!
Great alternatives! Thanks for these.
Great ideas. We haven't dyed eggs in years, but these ideas sound like fun.
Great list! I had to put my son on an extremely strict diet (gluten and casein free) for a year to help him heal a gut problem. I had no idea how hard food allergies were until then! Thankfully, my boy was able to go off the diet and is doing well... this is a great list of Easter ideas!
What fantastic ideas! I'm bookmarking your post to remind me to pick one of these to do with Snuggle Bug!
Great blog design, by the way! :)
i love the mr and mrs egg and i love the egg faces! how cute!!!
Sorry, I buy them painted !
Great List.
A wonderful list of Easter crafts. :) Happy TT!
Wow! I never would have thought of so many options. What did we do b4 Michael's? :) That's great that you have so many fun ways for them to enjoy their Easter eggs. It makes me smile knowing that they won't miss out on that tradition.
Have fun with them!
decopage eggs sounds pretty but frustrating
You know, I never thought of that, with your little one so allergic to eggs, he wouldn't be able to colour easter eggs!! Such other great crafts he can do, though, to be part of the Easter fun:-) xox
I don't have kids, but the ideas are nice enough to try for myself! :-) I'll send the link to your post to a friend too.
Thanks for visiting my TT!
